Paul Goleniak has been coaching girls tier one players for the past eleven years from 10U through 19U. Over that time as head coach of the Little Caesars 14U and 16U girls, Paul guided his teams to four consultative state championship wins and USA Hockey National Championship appearances from 2014-2017; in addition, two state runner-ups in 2013 and 2018.
Paul has also helped guide and develop his players to the D1 and D3 college levels. Many of his former players are in their sophomore and freshman years in college with many more entering college next season.
Paul brings his vast knowledge and passion of the game to Belle Tire Hockey Club as Head Coach of the girls 12U and 14U Tier One teams. Paul’s goal for these two teams is to develop girls to play at the next level and work towards their goals of playing college hockey one day.
Paul grew up playing hockey in the Detroit area. His playing history consists of junior hockey in the North American Hockey League, and his major playing accomplishments came in the late 90’s as a Detroit Red Wings prospect. Coaching gives him a sense of giving back to a game that’s given him so much.
Paul started coaching girl’s hockey when his daughters began playing on all girls teams. Paul has two daughter’s; Kayla whom is attending and playing at Plattsburgh State University. Kayla played for the Little Caesars organization before heading to college to pursue a Bio-Medical degree. His younger daughter, Erika, currently plays for the Belle Tire Girls 16U team and hopes to also play college hockey like her sister. Paul is also married to Heather for the past 21 years.
